When is the best time ... ?

Usually during the planning and design stage is the best time to speak
with a stair representative.

How long does it take to make my stairs and/or railing?

It will usually take between two to four weeks, depending on the time
of year and the difficulty of the stair. Railings usually follow the stair
installation by another two to four weeks.

Am I responsible for staining, painting or carpeting my stairs?

Yes, you are responsible for staining, painting or carpeting your stair.
However, most main stairs are covered with cardboard and plastic for
protection so this allows you time in choosing your colours.

What is the process for ordering stairs & railings?

A sales person will contact you to discuss what type of stair and/or railing you are looking for. Starting with the species of wood. Will the stair be open or closed? If you are looking for a railing system you will also discuss what type of posts and spindles you would like to use.

What about terms & conditions?

Payments for builders are Net 30 unless otherwise arranged. Private customers require a deposit and balance paid within specified terms depending on order.   If order is cancelled, deposit is non-refundable. Sales representatives can provide full detail of terms and conditions.
